Don't fall into the trap of buying a craftsman lawn mower tractor from Sears. It is always breaking down for one thing or another. I have a 3500 craftsman lawn tractor. When you need a part for it you could only get it from them. What does this mean that most...

Craftsman Power Tools Worthless

Wow - talk about downhill. Sears can't make a power tool that lasts more than three years - I've been through two lawnmowers, three sanders and 3 power blowers - last about three years, then die. Service evaluation roughly 30% of purchase price. Repair about 75% of purchase price. These guys must do it by design - they cant possibly be that incompetant. Here was a brand that meant something and is now worthless - shame on you No more craftsman anything - you can't produce anything that works anymore. It used to be these things woudl last 10+_ yeears at minumum. I have some power tools that have lasted 25 or more years, and now they can't do anything right any more - shame on you

Craftsman tools had a good name, strong tools, legendary warranty, awesome service. Mechanics and DIYs alike would always reach for them. Now most people are reluctant because the brand has gone down the toilet

I actually know about a lawsuit being organized against them. I could put you in touch with the lawyer spearheading this if you'd like to be fairly compensated for your loss.

Craftsman mowers should be called "Crapsman"

Nearly 5 years ago I purchased a consumer reports "Best Buy" craftsman dls3500 riding mower. In all that time I have yet to mow my lawn completely without this P.O.S. breaking down in some way. Every single time I have used this mower, I have to stop and repair it. Every safety switch has been replaced at least once. The steering wheel has to be tightened up several times a season. It overheats and stalls and won't start again for three hours. The deck has to be re-leveled every time I mow. If you run out of gas, it takes two or three cups poured directly into the carb to get it primed and able to start again. Things sometimes just fall off! This was a $1600.00 mower and I've spent half again as much as this mower cost on repairs at the shop and the breakdowns continue. I gave it to a friend of mine and he gave it back after two months. I'm sure glad I didn't get rid of my 20yr old second hand Murry mower that I paid $200.00 for. I'll never buy a crapsman product again.

Craftsman review in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Wrong battery

i had called sears in myrtle beach, sc for a replacement battery for my cordless drill. i gave them the part number, they repeated it and they assured me they had one left in stock. i drove 35 mins each way (probably $10 or more in gas)to find the one they had was not the correct one even though they assured me they had it. i have since orderd from sears parts on line. i have always shopped at sears and own numerous tools, appliances etc. this is probably the first time i'm really mad. maybe i'll try some new outlets.

Craftsman review in Phoenix, Arizona: Tv stand smells sour.

TV stand from Craftsman is sour smelling. Must be the stain, the techs will not do a dang thing about this, have had 2 service calls and the service sucks too. Mor is not a good company to go to, we spent alot of money on poor craftmanship and *** service, i would not recommended this furniture store to anyone, and we still have to pay this $%^$%$^^ whole of furniture off. I'm going to Corporate and i think they gave us Bogus information for their contacts, but i'll try and maybe resolve this through the news channel just so they can stand up to their commitment to their customers. Come on!!!!!

Craftsman review in Wethersfield, Connecticut: Snowblower appt. cancel for no reason.

I have used Craftsman products my whole life and I'm 56. Three years ago I bought a lawn mower ( my 4th )and it *** out last summer. broken back wheels, cable and right wheel unable to push mower. Did not help me other than send me a 50 gift certificate. Now my 3 year old 1,200.00 snow blower *** out for the second time. I have only used it 7 times. The first time the fuel pump broke. They came out and fixed it. Now the belt or cable is broken. I had a scheduled appt. for this Friday 1-21-11 and out of the blue they call to tell they need to reschedule for 1-31-11 with no explanation. I purchased the 5 year warrantee, but they could care less your sense of urgency. The lady said they do it all the time. Never will I buy another Craftsman product period. I hope this helps somebody......This was an American institution..... No longer.......

Craftsman tool box

I bought a 700.00 dollar tool box and it is all rusty. I called the store manager and she said they would pay to paint it.I wanted to get my money back to upgrade to a better box but she said no.What ever happened to the famous Craftsman warranty. She wanted me to clean out my tool box and bring it to her so she could send it out to a body shop and have it painted,I think that is ***.She is so *** she said that maybe an animal peed on it.Dumb *** .it is rusting on the highest box on the side. That is a pretty tall animal since I have to stand tippy-toe to see in the top.I was willing to add another 700.00.to get a better box but she was such a *** i said I would sell the box to a Snap on dealer so they can demonstrate what happens to Sears products. So people do not buy from the Sears in the Crystal Mall in Waterford Ct.
